Privacy notice

Every tool currently on TangleOff processes files in your browser. Your file is read into memory on your device, transformed there, and offered back to you as a download.

Files are not uploaded to a TangleOff server, and no tool sends file contents over the network.

The site includes a small analytics adapter that records aggregate product events, such as a tool being opened, completed or encountering an error.

These events never include file names, file contents or other personal data.

No third-party analytics provider is configured in the current build, so these events are not transmitted anywhere off your device.

As implemented today, TangleOff does not set cookies and does not use local or session storage for tracking.

The cookie page explains this in more detail.

Like almost any website, the hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as an IP address, browser type and the time of a request, for security and operational purposes. These are produced by the infrastructure that serves the site, not by the tools.

No advertising or ad scripts are present on the site today.

If advertising is added, this notice and the cookie page will be updated, and any required consent handling will be in place before it goes live.

Because files stay on your device and no tracking storage is used, there is little to opt out of. You can clear any data your browser holds for this site through your browser settings.

The contact page sets out the options for sending feedback about privacy or anything else.
