Shrink an image and change its format
Switching a photo from PNG to JPG often shrinks it on its own; resizing then finishes the job.
Goal: Reduce both the dimensions and the file size, optionally changing format.
Guided steps, not an automated job
You open each tool yourself and run it. The steps below show the order to work in and link to the tool you need at each one; nothing is processed automatically on your behalf.
Steps
- 1
Resize and pick an output format
Choose JPG or WebP for photos, then set the maximum dimensions.
Open Image Resizer → - 2
Reach a strict size target
Compress toward a specific size for forms that demand it.
Open Resize Image to 50 KB →
Limitations
- Each re-save of a JPG loses a little quality, so do the resize and the format change in as few passes as possible.
